summer must haves

Posted in product review by tokyostargirl on July 28, 2008

So we have reached the peak of summer when it’s HOT, HOT, HOT. I walked outside today for 2 minutes to check the mailbox while at work and I seriously thought I was going to melt! I just wanted to share a few things that have been my must haves this summer! They all happen to be Avon products. I am not, by any means, an Avon representative. Recently, I started to really like their high quality products and more than willing to share it’s greatness with you, my wonderful readers.

If you like the things I write on here, PLEASE COMMENT. They are much appreciated. Thanks!

1. Avon Solutions – Hydra-Radiance Protecting Day Lotion SPF 3, $12.50 (but if you buy it right now there is a special – 2 for $12.99 – what a steal!)

I seriously LOVE this stuff! I was looking for a face sunblock that wasn’t oily/greasy and something that I would WANT to put on everyday. You don’t know how hard it is to find something like that until you start looking. As I get older, I’m realizing how important it is to protect your skin from the sun, sure I lay out every now and then and I like my tan, but I always make sure to put on sunblock. Even if you aren’t laying out in the sun, you still are exposed to it and should protect at least your face on a daily basis. This is my perfect solution. It goes on easily and doesn’t make you feel like you’re wearing sunblock. It actually smells pretty normal (and good!). I put this on everyday before makeup. I just ordered another one for backup. =)

2. Hydra-Radiance Moisturizing Night Cream, $12.50 (has the same deal as #1 – so you could get BOTH of these for $12.99!)

I have been using this for the past week and so far so good! I put this on at night after I wash my face. It’s a nice cream and the smell is similar to the Protecting Day Lotion. All I know is that when I wake up, my face has a nice glow – I think this lotion does it!

3. Skin So Soft – Soft & Sensual Deodorant, only .99 cents! TOO good to be true, but it is!

I have been wearing deodorant for as I can remember. Some of you are blessed and do not need it, but I am unfortunately not one of the blessed few in this area. During the summer, I sweat like crazy. Like today, I just walked outside for 2 minutes and I came back sweaty. Lucky for me, I had on my trusty Soft & Sensual deodorant and my pits were dry and non-smelly! This is a roll on so when you put it on, make sure to wait a couple of minutes for it to dry. The thing I hate most about deodorants is that it turns white (even when it says it goes on clear – it never does!) It’s the worst when you have to raise your hand while wearing a sleeveless shirt and low and behold – you are revealing underarms with white stuff all over! You won’t have that problem with this deodorant! It really does go on clear and I have yet to have a problem with the white residue AND it keeps me dry when every other part of me is sweating.

There are so many more things from Avon that I will do reviews on soon. I have a huge order coming in with lots of new products that I’ve never tried so I’ll let you know how it goes!

all the above products can be purchased at http://www.avon.com (they always have specials for free shipping so if you’re interested in ordering, let me know and I’ll let you in on some coupon codes)

Me, too. I’ve been looking for a better deodorant. I am definitely going to try the Avon Soft stuff. I don’t sweat badly, but when I’m nervous about something, well, it happens. Thanks for the tip!
