amuse eyeshadow swatches

Posted in eyeshadow, makeup, makeup swatches by tokyostargirl on March 11, 2010

On a business trip in “the Valley” of Texas. I’m in McAllen now, but I was in Laredo earlier this week. While walking around downtown, I picked up this eyeshadow palette. The vivid colors caught my eye and the price tag made me realize that it’s probably not good quality(duh), but you can’t knock it until you try it so I bought one anyway.

14 eyeshadows & 1 blush palette for $1.99 – it doesn’t get any cheaper than that.

I came back to the hotel and swatched the colors to see if it had any staying power. The color was great, but the application was a nightmare. You really have to pack on the color in order for the colors to show up, but once you get that down, you can create different looks. I’ll probably play with these when I’m doing makeup on myself and want something fun and funky, not sure if it would last through a night out, though. If you are willing to really work at it, this palette could work for you, but if you want an easy process and smooth application, then probably not. The colors are great, though, aren’t they?

bigger pans: black & white –> the 12 shadows, top to bottom, left to right
